Ośrodek 91 to średniej wielkości międzynarodowa placówka przechowawcza Fundacji znajdująca się na terenie Republiki Czeskiej, założona oficjalnie w 1991 roku. Pierwotnie posiadał trzy skrzydła: skrzydło humanoidalne, skrzydło magazynowe i laboratoria biologiczne. W 2014 roku dobudowano jeszcze dodatkowe skrzydło sztuki anomalnej.

Ośrodek 91 powinien być bezpiecznym miejscem. I to właśnie na tym opiera się ten kanon. Fałszywe złudzenie, że istnieje coś takiego jak bezpieczeństwo podczas pracy dla Fundacji. Iluzoryczna otaczająca cię złota klatka, taka ładna i błysnąca, że nie zauważysz jej, dopóki nie będzie już za późno. Ośrodek 91 przechowuje wyłącznie obiekty SCP, które nie są niebezpieczne same w sobie. Nie ma tu potworów z wielkimi zębami, niszczących świat artefaktów ani śmiercionośnych plag. Inną ważną kwestią wartą jeszcze wspomnienia jest to, że Rada O5 z niewiadomych przyczyn nie angażuje się zbytnio w sprawy Ośrodka 91.

Te elementy pozornego bezpieczeństwa przeplatają się historiami pracowników Ośrodka 91, w którym nigdy nic się nie dzieje.

Szczegóły dotyczące kanonu

Ośrodek 91 istnieje we wszechświecie, w którym nie ma czeskiej filii Fundacji, tzn. nie ma czeskich placówek ani ČROD, ale obiekty SCP-CS nadal istnieją.
Anomalie przechowywane w Ośrodku 91 to: anomalie humanoidalne, obiekty klasy Bezpieczne bądź Euclid, anomalie artystyczne i anomalie biologiczne. Może się wydawać, że jest to dość zróżnicowana lista, ale daje też do zrozumienia, że nie wszystkie anomalie będą tu pasować.
Ośrodek 91 jest w stanie wojny z samym sobą. Mimo że jest to stosunkowo bezpieczna placówka, tutejsi ludzie są w ciągłym niebezpieczeństwie, co trudno czasem zauważyć, gdy nie ma za tobą po prostu czyhających zębów potwora.
Historia ma stosunkowo zwartą strukturę, a wiele postaci ma już z góry ustaloną przyszłość.
